Trust & safety

Need help with a listing or collector? Use Report or Block from an item, trade or chat. Wondering Imp is a trade-matching service and does not hold funds or act as escrow.

Your trade, your decision

Every trade is agreed directly between the collectors involved. Wondering Imp provides matching, communication, evidence-recording, reporting and moderation tools, but does not inspect items, guarantee identity or honesty, guarantee authenticity or delivery, insure a trade, reimburse losses or become a party to the trade.

Always follow every Protected Trade step for postal trades. These steps are designed to make abuse harder and preserve useful evidence if something goes wrong, but they cannot remove all risk from dealing with another person.

Mandatory postal-trade steps

Both traders must accept the Protected Trade rules and save a private delivery address.
Every parcel must use tracked delivery and a service with protection appropriate to the declared value.
Before posting, upload three proof photos: the actual item, the item being packed, and the sealed parcel/label.
A handwritten Wondering Imp verification code must be visible in at least one proof photo.
Tracking, carrier, service and declared parcel value must be recorded in Wondering Imp.
A trade cannot complete until both traders confirm receipt. If there is a problem, use Report a problem instead; completion is frozen for review.

Photos & evidence

Trade chat supports private photos for condition checks and extra proof. Protected-postage photos are stored separately as transaction evidence and cannot be removed by traders after submission. Photos are compressed and metadata such as EXIF/GPS is removed in the browser before upload.

Prohibited items

Wondering Imp is for lawful collectibles. Do not list stolen goods, counterfeits presented as genuine, weapons, illegal drugs, hazardous materials, pornography, regulated medicines or anything unlawful to own, sell, post or trade.

Reporting & blocking

Every live listing and trade has report/block controls. Blocking prevents new matches, offers and messages between the two collectors.
